These terms govern the use of the BetterMingle mobile app and its website.

1. Who we are
The BetterMingle app (the "app") is operated by CodeWhiskers. Contact e-mail: info@bettermingle.app. The app is available for Android devices and distributed through Google Play.
By using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.
2. What the service does
The app helps you organize group events — create an event, invite participants with a link, and jointly manage expenses, polls, carpooling, accommodation, tasks, schedule, packing list, wishlist, catering, budget and chat.
The app is a coordination and record-keeping tool. It does not provide payment services, does not transfer money between participants, does not arrange accommodation or transport, and is not a party to any agreement between participants. Calculated settlements are informational only.
3. Your account
An account is required. You can register with an e-mail and password, sign in with Google, or use a sign-in link sent to your e-mail.
- The account is intended for individuals aged 16 and over.
- The information you provide must be accurate and current.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe. Report any suspected misuse to us without delay.
- The account is personal and must not be shared with others.
You can delete your account at any time in the app settings, or by following the steps on the Delete account page.
4. Plans and paid features
The app is available in a free version and in paid plans. What each plan includes:

Current prices are always shown in the app and in Google Play before you complete a purchase. Prices may differ by country and currency.
5. Payments, renewal and cancellation
- Pro and Business are sold as subscriptions with a monthly or yearly period. Lifetime is a one-time purchase.
- Payments are processed by Google Play. We never store or see your card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time in your Google Play account. Cancelling does not stop the subscription immediately — features remain available until the end of the paid period.
- Upgrading takes effect immediately; downgrading applies after the current period ends.
Refunds are handled by Google under the Google Play refund policy. If you contact us directly, we are happy to help you sort it out.
6. Right of withdrawal
For digital content delivered immediately after purchase, the statutory 14-day consumer right of withdrawal expires once performance begins with your express consent. You give that consent by confirming the purchase in Google Play. The Google Play refund rules apply regardless.
7. Your content
Everything you create in the app — event names, expenses, messages, photos, lists — remains yours. We only take a limited right to store and display that content to other participants of the same event so the app can work.
You agree not to submit content that breaks the law or infringes third-party rights, or that is abusive, hateful, deceptive, or contains other people’s personal data without their consent. We may remove content that breaches these rules.
8. Advertising
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob. Paid plans are ad-free.
9. Availability and liability
- The app is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.
- Service may be interrupted by maintenance, updates or third-party outages.
- We are not liable for damage caused by misuse of the app, for data loss caused by deleting your account, or for agreements and disputes between event participants.
- We recommend backing up important data, for example by exporting the overview.
Nothing in these terms limits liability to the extent it cannot be limited by law — in particular liability for intent, gross negligence, or personal injury.
10. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or close an account in case of serious or repeated breach of these terms; where circumstances allow, we will notify you first.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will announce material changes in the app or by e-mail at least 30 days in advance. If you disagree, you can delete your account before they take effect.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Consumers may turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (coi.cz) as the out-of-court dispute resolution body.
